Access to GP records

I'm pleased to announce that access to patients' EMIS records has now been restored. The transition to cloud-based Adastra broke the link, but it is now working again. It can be accessed by clicking on the "Primary Care Record" tab on the Adastra screen. The computer will then display a consent screen to prompt you to ask the patent's permission, once granted you can view the surgery record.

Some of you will remember that we had an ability to see a summary of a patient's practice record when consulting with that patient in Adastra.
As the product was developed, there was a move to a different technology platform and that functionality was lost.
I am pleased to announce that we can now view the practice record again. There is a tab in the patient record screen called "Primary Care Record". If that is clicked a message is displayed prompting you to ask the patent's permission to view the record; the response is recorded and is auditable. If permission is granted than you can see a summary of the record. It is not possible to amend the GP record in anyway, the access is read-only.

Just to let you know, the EMIS link functionality has been restored.
If you see a patient and think you might benefit from seeing more of the record, please click the EMIS Web tab (if present). This will take you to a consent form, once you have checked with the patient that it is okay to view the record (it is audited) then follow the prompts and you will be able to see a summary of the EMIS record for that patient.
Please let me know if there are any further problems
