Managing Injuries

We would like to reiterate the standing advice to doctors to pass injury or trauma to the nursing staff.
Many GPs are a somewhat deskilled in assessing trauma cases and we feel referring them on is the safest course of action.
Information on assessing whether a knee injury should be X-rayed can be found in Guidelines section however.

Advice re Mefloquine

Mefloquine, an anti-malarial, was prescribed to military personnel who were operating or training in Sub-Saharan Africa (not in Iraq or Afghanistan, with few exceptions) over the past 20 years. This NHS England document provides information on what steps should be taken by practices if a patient presents with symptoms relating to the side-effects of Mefloquine.
The document can be found in the Memos section
